Job Description
Qatar Airways are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join Qatar Airways Human Resources team based in New York City. As the HR Officer in our mid-town office, you will play a vital role in providing HR support across the Americas, focusing on employee relations, compensation and benefits, leadership development, performance management, and legal compliance in alignment with company policies
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for managers and employees on all HR matters.
- Deliver a range of HR services to enhance the employee experience across departments, including Commercial, Ground Services, Cargo, and Corporate functions.
- Support and coach managers on employee relations issues such as performance management, absence, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Advise managers on HR policy implementation to ensure fair and consistent decision-making.
- Collaborate with HR centers of excellence in Doha to roll out company-wide HR initiatives across the Americas.
- Work with the Talent Development team to assess and prioritize training and development needs in line with departmental and corporate goals.
- Oversee the administration of employment records and ensure compliance with local labor laws and Qatar Airways policies.
- Coordinate the orientation of new employees and manage probationary reviews.
- Partner with the local finance team on monthly payroll reporting.
- Support HR project work as needed.
Requirements
About You: The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least three years of generalist HR experience in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations (e.g., health and safety).
- Significant experience in employee relations, organizational change, and case management.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- The right to live and work in the USA; some travel will be required.
