Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical operations and equipment, including:
• Electrical: Switches, lamps, ballasts, receptacles, etc.
• Plumbing: Fixture repairs, drain clearing, water heater maintenance, etc.
• Carpentry: Drywall, painting, tile repair, furniture repair, etc.
• Mechanical: Washer, dryer, vacuum maintenance, etc.
• Complete work orders efficiently and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Conduct daily audits of building/rooms and ensure all areas are clean and organized.
• Respond to guest and staff reports of non-functioning equipment.
• Maintain hotel equipment in proper working condition.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks throughout the day.
• Frequent lifting (5-100 lbs) and handling of tools and equipment.
• Exposure to various weather conditions and hazardous materials in a controlled environment.
• Previous maintenance/engineering experience in a hotel or similar field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Guest-focused, self-motivated, and able to solve practical problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed.
