Personal Trainer

Responsibilities

• Deliver Exceptional Experiences: Provide top-quality, safe, and innovative fitness instruction to members and guests.
• Personalized Programs: Develop and implement tailored exercise programs based on individual abilities, health status, and fitness goals.
• Consultations: Conduct fitness evaluations and consultations for new members as needed.
• Client Management: Track training sessions and fee payments, maintaining accurate records of client progress and programs.
• Revenue Goals: Strive to achieve personal revenue targets each month.
• Client Relations: Establish and nurture a positive client base.
• Equipment Instruction: Educate members on proper equipment use and exercise techniques, including operating equipment and moving weights up to 50 pounds.
• Punctuality: Arrive on time for all appointments and classes.
• Communication: Maintain timely communication and follow-up with clients.
• Active Participation: Engage in events, programs, meetings, and training as required.
• Follow Procedures: Adhere to all resort policies as outlined by Rancho Valencia Spa and Resort.
• Feedback Management: Report guest and member comments, concerns, and suggestions to the Manager on Duty.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Personal Training, Group Exercise, or Pilates certification, including specialty certifications (e.g., Yoga, TRX).
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Minimum of two years of experience in the fitness industry.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, mornings, and evenings as needed.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Physical Demands

• Frequent physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Regular lifting/carrying of up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Vision: Constant need for close vision and detail orientation.
• Hearing: Ability to communicate via telephone and respond to alarms.
