Safety and Security Officer

Responsibilities

As a Safety and Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests and staff within the hotel premises. Your key duties will include:

• Patrolling all areas of the property to ensure a secure environment.
• Assisting guests with room access and addressing their safety concerns.
• Monitoring Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
• Conducting inspections for physical hazards and responding to emergencies, providing first aid or contacting EMS as necessary.
• Managing incidents by notifying relevant authorities and completing incident reports to document any Security or Loss Prevention-related occurrences.
• Defusing disturbances and escorting unwelcome individuals from the property while maintaining smooth operations.
• Reporting to scenes of vehicle accidents or thefts and calling for assistance using appropriate protocols.
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding Security and Loss Prevention documents

You will also be expected to:

• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Build positive relationships with guests and colleagues, ensuring their service needs are met.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and objects over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Dexterity to manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and handle sloping or slippery surfaces.
