Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, personalized, and friendly food and beverage service to our discerning guests.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized café that exceeds guest expectations.
  • Contribute ideas for operational improvements and participate actively in departmental meetings.
  • Engage in monthly departmental sales promotions to enhance guest experience.
  • Ensure all beverage products meet Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any out-of-stock items to the Manager on Duty.
  • Ensure café equipment is functional and that the area remains clean.
  • Address any concerns regarding guest service, food quality, or equipment to the Manager.
  • Maintain a health and safety-conscious work environment.
  • Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service by demonstrating Fairmont Service Essentials.
  • Complete side duties efficiently and assist colleagues as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous guest service experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems is advantageous.
  • Strong cash handling skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a focus on guest needs, maintaining calm and courteous interactions at all times.

This position requires:

  • Frequent standing and sitting throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ramps.

Qualifications
