Job Description

Qatar Airways are excited to announce an opening for the position of Senior Cargo Sales Executive based in our ORD Cargo Offices in Chicago. In this role, you will be instrumental in achieving budgeted revenue targets for the assigned station, safeguarding existing business, and continuously exploring new opportunities. You will work to maximize awareness of Qatar Airways' products and services while ensuring quality customer service and smooth cargo operations at the station.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy: Plan, direct, and control all selling and marketing activities at the station to penetrate the local market, secure new revenue sources, and exceed revenue budgets.
Team Leadership: Supervise the sales team to optimize cargo revenue production and develop their potential. This includes distributing areas of responsibility and allocating sales targets while monitoring and strengthening the team.
Market Research: Conduct competitor analysis using publicly available sources to evaluate Qatar Airways' market share and traffic movements, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans.
Sales Campaigns: Ensure active participation in sales campaigns and public events to generate leads.
Customer Support: Assist clients with all information related to booking, forwarding, and delivery by coordinating with local Ground Handling Agents and Head Office Cargo departments.
Education and Training: Educate agents and clients on Qatar Airways procedures regarding booking and delivery standards, ensuring regular sales visits for maximum revenue.
Claims Coordination: Manage customer claims in collaboration with the cargo claims department, ensuring timely resolution.
Business Planning: Prepare business and marketing plans to maximize revenue opportunities and enhance Qatar Airways' market presence.
Industry Engagement: Maintain regular contact with key stakeholders in the cargo industry, including agents and business partners.
Supplemental Sales: Make additional sales calls to establish contacts and increase visibility for Qatar Airways products.
Additional Duties: Perform other departmental duties as directed by the Head of Department.
