Job Description

As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will be the key point of contact for our guests, addressing any issues in the absence of management. You will ensure smooth operations at the front desk and valet services, handling guest and employee complaints effectively and maintaining strong communication with housekeeping and engineering departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to arriving, departing, and in-house guests.
  • Manage front office and valet staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Oversee check-in and check-out procedures for guests, both manually and electronically.
  • Process financial transactions accurately, maintaining precise hotel records.
  • Respond to inquiries and accept reservations, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
  • Stay informed about in-house and local events to assist guests with accurate information.
  • Manage PBX equipment to ensure efficient call handling.
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Handle guest mail, messages, and faxes promptly.
  • Document and follow up on guest issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain communication logs to enhance departmental operations.
  • Complete AM and PM shift reports daily.

Requirements

  • Experience with cash handling and computerized cash register systems.
  • Proven customer service experience dealing directly with the public.
  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment (telephone, copier, POS, PC, fax, PBX).

Qualifications

  • Experience with cash handling and computerized cash register systems.
  • Proven customer service experience dealing directly with the public.
  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment (telephone, copier, POS, PC, fax, PBX).
