Job Description

Supervise daily operations of the Front Desk team to maximize revenues and profits while ensuring optimal guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Staff Management:

  • Interview, hire, train, and evaluate Front Desk staff.
  • Address performance issues, maintain open communication, and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.

Guest Relations:

  • Respond to special requests and concerns from guests to enhance satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Accommodate group needs effectively.

Operational Oversight:

  • Implement company programs and ensure daily operations align with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Lodging Standards Operating Procedures (LSOPs).
  • Motivate staff to deliver high-quality service and hospitality.

Team Supervision:

  • Oversee Guest Service Agents to ensure efficient front desk operations.

Crisis Management:

  • Stay calm and alert during emergencies or peak activity. Serve as a role model for staff.
  • Resolve customer complaints through thorough investigation and effective solutions, using good judgment and experience.

Attendance Compliance:

  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for shifts.

  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

  • Communication:
    Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Professionalism:
    Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Teamwork:
    Willingness to assist coworkers and contribute as a team player.
  • Customer Service:
    Ability to handle internal and external customers with patience and diplomacy, especially in resolving conflicts.
  • Mathematical Skills:
    Basic math skills and proficiency in using calculators for moderately complex calculations.
  • Technical Skills:
    Ability to input and access information on a moderately complex computer system.
  • Physical Requirements:
    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods behind the front desk, and to detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Relationship Building:
    Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
