Dishwasher

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors hourly as needed.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes; wash by hand or load into dishwashing machine. Hand wash pots, pans, and trays. Run glasses through the dish machine twice.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Separate and remove trash and garbage into designated containers; steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Sort bottles and dispose of disposable ones in the bottle-crushing machine.
• Polish silverware using burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth as required.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using a hand truck.
• Set up banquet tables when needed.
• Wash and peel vegetables using a knife or peeling machine as required.
• Put away all clean utensils and rotate stock in designated areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects.
• Understand and follow simple instructions.
• Learn and apply simple procedures and techniques.
• Perform routine tasks consistently.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
