General Manager

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks, including writing and presenting reports, and communicating with owners, guests, property leaders, corporate offices, and local associations.
• Review and strategize performance reports to maximize profitability. Supervise the development and revision of business plans, annual budgets, and forecasts.
• Interview, hire, and supervise department managers. Develop and delegate improvement plans and review the performance of the management team.
• Train staff, conduct performance evaluations, resolve issues, and ensure clear communication.
• Engage in community affairs and maintain a positive public image for the hotel and Crescent. Meet with clients to promote the hotel and foster community relationships.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the team, both verbally and in writing.
• Conduct daily property inspections to monitor cost control, cleanliness, and service quality. Maintain rapport with associates and customers.
• Travel for corporate meetings, sales trips, and committee participation.
• Address associate issues in partnership with People and Culture, adhering to local legislation and Crescent policies.
• Comply with attendance rules; be available to work on-site regularly, including outside normal business hours.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a General Manager in a full-service hotel.
• Self-starter with a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Team player willing to assist co-workers.
• Critical thinker with extensive knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing, safety programs, personnel relations, and budget forecasting.
• Leadership skills to motivate and develop the team, ensuring goal accomplishment.
• Experience in Food & Beverage, Front Desk, and/or Rooms management is highly desirable.
• Ability to create positive outcomes for associates, guests, and investors while supporting local communities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a General Manager in independent, lifestyle, boutique, or luxury hotels.
• Proven track record of facilitating organizational change, particularly in newly opened resorts or properties.
