Engineer

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and complete work orders, such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl, to uphold hotel standards.
• Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance assignments, including "room care."
• Electrical Systems Checks: Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls and lighting, making minor repairs or replacements as necessary.
• Equipment Maintenance: Help with routine and major repairs of all hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC systems, and plumbing fixtures.
• Pool Maintenance: Service the hotel’s pool by adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, as well as completing maintenance request forms and maintaining logs.
• Exterior Maintenance: Maintain the building’s exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
• Furniture Refurbishment: Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, and chairs, as well as painting and finishing as needed.
• Guest Interaction: Respond courteously to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Environmental Exposure: Be prepared for exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Heavy Machinery Operation: Operate heavy machinery as required.
• Attendance: Comply with attendance policies and be available to work regularly.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient in English communication.
• Self-motivated with a positive demeanor.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Physical capability to climb, read, stand, walk, and regularly lift between 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate progress on assignments.
